Nearby there are many ski and snowboarding resorts, lakes, rivers, hiking and some of the most spectacular mountains on earth. You can snowshoe, fish, canoe, paddle board and more! It is secluded, and away from the city. We have buffalo's as our neighbors! Kamas is the nearest town for gas and groceries, 15 minutes away. Our family completed construction of our cabin in the mountains east of Heber in 2014. We spend weekends regularly there, but offer it to family, friends and others we know will take care if it on special occasions throughout the year. We ask for no pets, no smoking, and no parties/gatherings other than our guests. Cleanliness and respect to neighbors is important to us. Our cabin has two large great room areas, one upstairs with a gas fireplace and windows looking across the valley, and one downstairs with a flat screen for movies, chess table, and place for the kids to play. Huge couches in both comfortably seat 8. The large kitchen is well equipped for any of your cooking needs, and the dining table also seats 8. The cabin has beds for 7 -- one queen in each bedroom upstairs, and one double and one twin in the bedroom downstairs. There are two bathrooms, with a bathtub / shower upstairs, and a large shower downstairs. We built a walk-in closet adjacent one of the bedrooms for the purpose of sleeping a baby - as that is how we used it when our kids were young. We spend most of our time at the cabin outdoors. The wrap around deck on the front and side offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valley below, an ideal setting for a family BBQ, watching the sunset, or spotting wildlife (we see deer on every visit, but also moose, elk, fox, etc). We have a 6 person hot tub in the backyard. Location is in a gated cabin community 7 miles east of Heber Main Street and 20 miles southeast of Park City. Our cabin is about 1 mile inside the gate, so 15 minutes from Heber, 30 min from Park City/Deer Valley, 40 min from Sundance, and one hour from either Utah County or Salt Lake County. Each time of year offers something wonderful: summers are for deer and moose watching, golfing and boating at nearby Deer Creek Reservoir or Jordanelle. Spring and fall offer great nearby hiking, fishing and 4 wheeling; and winters are filled with skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and sledding. Rentals of ATVs and snowmobiles can be delivered from Heber to access the national forest a few miles up the road and offer days of exploring in all directions. Parking of snowmobiles on the property is not feasible, and Timberlakes restricts snowmobiles inside of the gate community to owners only with strict adherence to passes issued. Access in the winter can be challenging, as the roads are gravel and steep, especially right in front of our lot, and including our driveway. 4x4 truck or SUV is needed from November to March. Chains may be needed in case of storm or melting snow that turns to ice. Also, Timberlakes only plows the roads at the conclusion of snowfall, so it is possible to get "stuck" at the cabin for a day while waiting out a storm! Update on electronic connectivity: - Internet: Wifi just installed (as we avoided it for many years to truly get away). Speed is 20MB. No streaming services setup. - Phone: Verizon and TMobile work well, but there are spotty areas (including Timberlakes gate is notoriously bad). It is in a secluded gated community in the mountains yet only 10-15 minutes to major shopping stores and the town. The cabin is within 30 minutes of the three major ski resorts in Park City (Park City Ski Resort, Deer Valley, and The Canyons), Soldier Hollow (cross-country skiing) and Sundance Ski Resort. It is about 40 minutes to Salt Lake City and about an hour or so from other major ski resorts near SLC. It is about 50 minutes from the SLC airport. The home has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a television room, two large family rooms with fireplaces, a game room, a laundry room, an office, walk-in closets, and a hot tub. There are heated floors in the main level bathroom and TV room. There is one king bed, one queen bed, two full beds, one bunk bed and one single bed. An inflatable queen mattress is available for us. There is a nice deck that wraps around the entire cabin and a private boardwalk that goes around one acre of land. In the winter the main roads are plowed to the cabin. In the winter the National Park closes the roads, providing thousands of acres of pristine snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. There is no air conditioning in this unit as it is not necessary except for a few nights each year. The cabin is nestled in a sheltered canyon which is often 10 degrees or more cooler than the surrounding area and channels a cool breeze in the summer. We have found that there are only a handful of nights a year when it feels warm, and overhead and portable fans are available for these times. To keep the cabin cool on warm days, open windows just before sunset and close all windows around 10 am and keep them closed throughout the day.

Only street legal vehicles are allowed in this valley that has 3 camp grounds, Aspen, Castle Cliff Campground, Hades, and Iron Mine, but if you enjoy 4 wheeling, 100's of miles of trails in the High Uinta's, right off Wolf Creek Pass, are just a 10 minute trailer ride away. Street legal Razors are allowed to leave right from the property to 100's of miles of mountain trails. There is also a turn off in Hanna, just 10 minutes the other way, that takes you to 4 wheeler trails to the top of Castle Rock where you get a view of Hades Lake and our valley, or take the trails to Still Water Dam, all are located with in Ashley National Forest. Starvation Lake is a 45 minute drive from the cabin and is great for all boating activities. It also has a nice beach area and rentals of all sorts for fun on the lake. We enjoy Starvation, because its not as busy as other Utah lakes. Razors are allowed to drive in the valley if they are street legal, bring your 4 wheelers but if they aren't street legal, you'll have to trailer them a short distance to the many trails in the Uinta Mountains. Bring all of your toys because there is something to do with them all year round, bikes, horses, fishing poles, tubes, 4 wheelers, Razors, hiking shoes, snow shoes, cross country skiing, snowmobile right from the house plus many trails from Wolf Creek Pass, and boating! This is a one level 3 bedroom home. It has two baths - one is a private bath in the master bedroom. There is a full kitchen with a small dining area. Living room and a wash room comprise the remainder of the home. There is a one car space in an enclosed garage for indoor parking. Plenty of off road parking on a large driveway. Large back yard play area is available also. We are 15 minutes from Park City and all of the adjacent ski areas. We are 3 minutes from the DeJoria Center at the High Star Ranch and 2 blocks away from the Mirror Lake Highway which accesses the Uinta Mountains and the High Uinta Primitive Area.
